Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 3rd Gen External Sound Card
Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 3d Gen is a high-quality external sound card that comes with the Focusrite Control software. This software allows you to customize the Scarlett 8i6 and use it as a standalone interface for recording devices of all types. The third-generation interface has undergone additional modifications in terms of features and performance. The overall audio path has been improved, resulting in a wider dynamic range. Distortion and noise levels have been reduced, and the microphone preamplifier now allows for higher signal levels on the inputs. An important change is the addition of the Focusrite AIR feature, which can be turned on separately for inputs 1 and 2 and slightly changes the frequency response of the preamp, as well as simulates the acoustic characteristics of ISA transformer microphone preamps.
With Focusrite Control, you can manage hardware features, adjust monitor mixes, and configure routing. Focusrite Control installation packages are available for Mac and Windows. The Scarlett 8i6 3d Gen is hardware-compatible with macOS, so users don't need to install a specific driver. The Windows version includes a driver, so all you need to do is install Focusrite Control to get started.
The audio interface allows you to connect microphones, musical instruments, as well as line-level audio channels and S/PDIF digital audio channels to your computer. Signals supplied to the physical inputs can be routed to the DAW with a resolution of up to 24 bits and a sample rate of up to 192 kHz. The outputs can be connected to amplifiers, self-powered monitors, and other necessary analog and digital audio equipment. The Scarlett 8i6 device can also be used as a MIDI interface between a computer's USB port and other MIDI equipment in the system.
